Polynomial Division and Factorization - Justification of Synthetic
Division - Exercise 4
Long divide f(x) = 2x4 + 2x3 - 3x2
+ 2x + 1 by g(x) = x - 5 and also synthetically divide
f(x) = 2x4 + 2x3 - 3x2 + 2x + 1
by g(x) = x - 5. Explain in your own words why the synthetic
division process works. Note the the justification for the division
is already given - Only provide an explanation why the Synthetic
Division process works.
